Mission Surf Internships

Here are our own ten commandments:
  1. Make the world of surf, travel and work experience more accessible by offering what are possibly the cheapest placements in the world.
  2. Provide a new and exciting alternative to the world of work placements.
  3. Create strong social and business links between international surf industries and their respective communities.
  4. Aid the growth and development of surf businesses (particularly in developing countries) through the provision of Surf Interns.
  5. Provide surfers in developing countries with an economic boost through funding and the promotion of Surf Internships’ ‘Grass-Roots Projects’
  6. Promote surf related charities – arrangement of these placements is free for all Surf Interns.
  7. Promote travelling as a way to appreciate and understand other environments, cultures and languages by living and working with the local communities.
  8. Create a strong sense of belonging amongst the surfing community that transcends international boundaries.
  9. Help students gain credit for their courses through the completion of a Surf Internship.
  10. Help people obtain careers in Surf Industries around the world through the arrangement of relevant work experience, during which useful business contacts can be made.
