Info: This surf club, located at “one of the best and most hidden surf spots” in Sri Lanka, is looking for Surf Interns to come help them in several areas:
-         Instruction of surf classes
-         Training of both new and existing surf instructors
-         Teaching of locals how to repair surfboards
-         Volunteering for a beach cleaning campaign
-         Help the surf club make a video for marketing purposes
-         Help raise funds for new surfboards and equipment

This has to be one of our cheapest placements (see below) with one of the most chilled settings and with the surf club captain also keen that you have time to explore the surrounding areas this is set to be a totally epic Surf Internship.

Requirements: Ability to give training on how to give surf lessons. Knowledge of how to repair surfboards. Fluent English would be preferable.

Provisions/Expenses: The surf club can provide free accommodation for up to two Surf Interns. If there are more than two applicants then they can arrange accommodation in a nearby beach 'cabana' starting from just $1.50 a day. Breakfast will also be provided and lunch and dinner is readily available in nearby restaurants and stores (at about 50 cents per meal). Your daily budget should be around $5.50 including accommodation, food, transportation, and other utilities.

Surf Interns are welcome to give their own surf lessons and earn up to $30 per lesson (you will need to provide your own board).

For those on long-term placements who wish to have their own accommodation - this can be arranged for around $55 per month (for a secure two bedroom house, with gate and separate bathroom and toilet). The house is in a friendly neighbourhood close to the main surfing beach.
